Battlefield 3 is making me obese with hype. My gaming cholesterol is above the roof. I should blame EA. Speaking of EA, they released the second Fault Line episode of gameplay videos tagged Good Effect on Target. Pardon me as I wipe the drool away from my mouth.

Gameplay? Who needs gameplay when you’ve got a Cloverfield-like live action trailer for Prey 2? There’s no information about the story other than it hints towards possibly playing as an air marshal or prisoner. We’re going to go ahead and continue to guess before making any rash decisions.

Oh boy. News has leaked that the Black Eyed Peas are one of many artists trying to take advantage of Japan’s disaster. CNN disgustingly states that they are “calling attention to the disaster in Japan”. Ok, if you don’t know what’s going on in Japan, pardon my language, you’re a fucking idiot.
The Black Eyed Peas filmed a music video for their single “Can’t Get Enough” in Japan a week before the earthquake. The BEP are now using it as a tool to get people to donate. Well, well, perfect timing for them. Do you think it’ll be number one single on the charts this week? Call it self promoting, call it savvy business practices but whatever you do don’t call celebrities who preach to us normal folk to donate, an act of “charity”.
But wait, there’s more…
Shucks, I guess it was only a matter of time before AT&T implemented it’s wireless data cap idea towards their DSL and U-Verse broadband service. Starting May 2nd, customers using AT&T’s DSL will only have 150 GB to work with while U-Verse customers get an additional 100 GB clocking in at a pathetic 250 GB per month. A fee of $10 will be added if the cap is surpassed more than three times in three separate months. AT&T says that only 2 percent of DSL users will be affected considering that the typical internet jocky uses around 18 GB a month. Right… Read the rest of this article…
If you thought the huge explosion and radiation leakage from the Fukushima nuclear plant was big, clearly you didn’t see the press release from Square Enix. Starting this week, servers for FINAL FANTASY XIV, FINAL FANTASY XI, and PlayOnline will be temporarily suspended. Additional features like friend lists, community site registration, and anything to do with PlayOnline, will forfeit in order to help conserve power. You know, to save energy for water and heat. Ok, that doesn’t matter but the good news is that you won’t have to pay for the month of April.
Yeah it’s a real bummer you won’t be able to log on any time soon, but hey it could be worse. I mean, what if Blizzard was located in Japan?
Some sneaky little guy filmed a portion of the Deus Ex: Human Revolution at its PAX ’11 East showcase. The short clip specifically deals with hacking, augmentations and the menus. I wish this was as entertaining as Cloverfield. But hey, at least you won’t get motion sickness from it.

Shit’s getting real today, folks. Hi-Rez Studios, the company who brought us Global Agenda, has announced it’s new game — Tribes Ascend. That’s right, that awesome multiplayer game that you played back in high school is now coming for vengeance to the Xbox 360 and PC this year.

After cleaning up the mess from watching the investigation and interrogation gameplay video yesterday, I might have stumbled on to something worth mentioning to you all. Word on the circuit has it that Newegg.com is offering $10 off the game if you pre-order from them. Sounds pretty enticing, doesn’t it perps?

Telltale Games has brought the old “point and click” adventures back to the fore front of gaming. With compelling story lines, memorable characters and fun gameplay, there’s no need to pick up that carbon copy of Call of Duty anymore. Games like Back to the Future, The Walking Dead and Jurassic Park make it only natural to want more from the company that seems to turn everything they touch into gold. Here’s my triage of cinematic adventures that need to be developed by Telltale!
It’s regrettable to say that DreamWorks has released a trailer for the upcoming Shrek spin off, Puss in Boots. The film will star the inevitable Antonio Banderas, Walt Dohrn, and Zeus Mendoza. Puss in Boots takes everything that you’ve already seen four times, re-plaster itself “new”, and remind us all that studios will never learn from their mistakes as the story leads up to the first movie. Yes, ladies and gentlmen, it’s a purrquel.
