Awww, Gearbox Hooks Couple Up
This was incredibly nice of Borderlands developer Gearbox. Ben and his girlfriend Tora are huge fans and when Ben reached out to Gearbox they made the very cool and funny video above to help Ben out. Want to know what she said? Well watch the video after the jump, ok fine she said YES, I can’t keep surprises.
Ben came up with the idea after finding out that he and his girlfriend both at huge fans and actually the same level. He didn’t mind if Gearbox said no because he still wanted to tell them how much of a fan he is. Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox “was one of the biggest pushers of the idea, saying ‘we really need to do something on this.'” Ben visited Gearbox a few times to work on the video with Adam Fletcher and Chris Faylor. Minecraft Becomes Real Game on 11/11/11
When I was unemployed, and still poor, Kelly convinced me to finally plunk down the fifteen Euros (or whatever it is in real, American currency) for Minecraft. I had played the web-based version some months prior and I thought it was cute, but it wasn’t very fulfilling just playing by myself.
