The Nintendo Wii U Isn’t Sold Out

Hey guys, I’m still here!

Contrary to what you may be hearing or seeing, Nintendo’s newest console, the Wii U isn’t sold out in the US. I guess if you only shop at online at Amazon and Best Buy you would see it with “inflated” cost or sold out. You may have even gone to eBay really quick to see how high the prices are. There are thousands on eBay and they are selling for most, $50 above retail. And this is only because of supply and demand. People are too lazy to look at multiple websites or go into stores. Black Friday Gaming Deals That Won’t Leave You Broke

Black Friday Gaming Deals That Won’t Leave You Broke

Not on your life, buddy.

Black Friday is a day of the year you either love or hate. The official start of the Christmas shopping season, it is named “Black Friday” because it is the day of the year in which many retailers finally go from unprofitable to profitable…from the “red” to the “black”. It is also, for many, the most accursed day of the year, marked by tons of junk mail and the shift from hearing good music in the stores to hearing nothing but Jingle Bells over and over for a month while people scramble to get all of their shopping in before Christmas day…

The Xbox Nexus: Is The World Ready For Multiple Xboxen?

The Xbox Nexus: Is The World Ready For Multiple Xboxen?

This, but, like, smaller.

If The Verge’s claims are believable, then there might be some upset in the Xbox Kingdom, at least amongst the fanboys. If you’re old enough, you might remember when Microsoft unveiled two Xbox 360 SKUs at Gamescom in Germany seven years ago, known as the ‘Core’ and the console proper. After launching a console that had a hard drive in every single unit, the idea of fracturing the user base amongst people who both did and didn’t have hard drives seemed like a strange form of blasphemy. Well, maybe the strangest is yet to come…

Chris Roberts’ Star Citizen Crowd Funding Finishes At Over $6M

OMG SPACESHIPS!!!11ONE

A few weeks ago, I wrote about Chris Roberts’ upcoming space sim “Star Citizen” and again a couple of days ago I wrote about the idea of getting back in to a space sim got me so amped up that I’d been sucked back in to X3:Albion Prelude. Well, as of this afternoon Chris Roberts site, robertsspaceindustries.com, has stopped accepting crowd funding and has announced their total.

Are You Skipping The Wii U?

Are You Skipping The Wii U?

Nintendo’s finally reaching out to core gamers, but are any going to sink their dollars into it?

Y’know, when the Gamecube launched, I had a little bit of enthusiasm for it. The Xbox broke my trepidation on buying a console as a gaming machine (PC GAMES FOREVER YO) and the thought of playing a new Mario game and Eternal Darkness was a pretty interesting draw. The console didn’t do fantastic and Nintendo lost more of their stead against the competition following the disappointing Nintendo 64. I skipped the Wii, but Nintendo seems to be trying its best to lure me back with games like ZombiU, but why isn’t it working?

“Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” Review: This is the Campaign I’ve Been Waiting For

Bang, bang! Guns are fun to shoot.

It’s that time of year again for another installment in the Call of Duty series. This year, it’s Treyarch’s turn to show us what they got. Usually thought of as the B team, Treyarch, has stepped up and delivered what I think is one of the best campaign experiences in recent FPS and the best in the Call of Duty series. Unfortunately the multiplayer doesn’t live up to that. This was so close to being the best Call of Duty in the series. Read the rest of this article…

Are You Enjoying Black Ops 2’s Zombies Mode?

Are You Enjoying Black Ops 2’s Zombies Mode?

IN YOUR FACE THESE BULLETS GO.

Because it’s a Treyarch year, this year’s iteration of Call of Duty features a Zombies mode, because that’s pretty cool. I was always a Modern Warfare guy, and zombies aren’t really my thing anyway, so this was my first time capping undead brains (poorly) in one of these games. Kels and I went at it (with video below!) and I had some thoughts on the matter.

X3: Albion Prelude…Why Can’t I Quit You?

It’s like crack, only without the rotten teeth and pants pooping.

So…a while back I wrote an article about Star Citizen, the upcoming space sim from Chris Roberts. After reading about Star Citizen and then watching a bunch of videos on the subject, I got the space-sim jibs and needed to play one so I fired up X3: Albion Prelude again.

Why, oh WHY did I do that?!

‘Halo 4’ Review: Let Go Of The Legacy

‘Halo 4’ Review: Let Go Of The Legacy

Where have I seen this before?

I have to be honest: by Halo 3, I was fatigued with the series. Human troops inspired by Aliens fighting a united swarm of technicolor baddies to perpetuate a wonderfully weird storyline had become a bit weary. That, and between games they swapped out Michael Wincott’s role for Terence Stamp. Why did they do this? Was Wincott busy? In the years that followed, I skipped Halo 3 ODST altogether and only picked up Reach because it was free. With a new built-from-scratch studio at Microsoft handling the franchise – because original developer Bungie was obviously feeling pangs of the same restlessness – I was kind of excited to give Halo 4 a go. Setting out to create a whole new trilogy and please fans of the original games, each with record-breaking debuts, was no doubt going to be a daunting task for 343 Studios, but Halo 4 feels like a bridge to something new, rather than an exciting new adventure to call its own.
