Free Comic Book Day Penetrates Phoenix This Saturday
Thanks to the wonderful people over at Phoenix Comicon, Free Comic Book Day will not go unnoticed! This Saturday marks the 11th annual celebration where comic shops around the world are giving out comic books out for free. And if you live in Phoenix, you’ll be awarded with giveaways and be able to hang with special guests at participating comic book stores.
Phoenix Comicon ’12 To Be More Affordable
You excitingly fumble with the bag of merch collected throughout the day. It’s gotten rather heavy and awkward. As you inch closer and closer to your final destination, exhilaration is the only feeling that keeps you from falling over. After hours of waiting, the trek has finally come to an end. You wait, thinking the captain will shout “Come!”, but he never does. Instead, you grab your wallet clumsily only to find you’re $20 short for the photo op with Patrick Stuart. You shed a tear of hopelessness and embarrassment as the realization sets in of the last purchase made — one Angry Birds plush toy. Fortunately, this heart wrenching example will not be happenning at Phoenix Comicon ’12.

His baby, Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning, is the first game developed by 38 Studios (that’s his jersey number, heyo!) Can Curt and his studio survive in an already heavily populated industry?
Bob Harper To Endorse CrossFit?
Bob Harper, the tattood personal trainer on The Biggest Loser, was spotted doing a main site WOD (work out of the day) and recently earned a CrossFit certification. Sure it doesn’t like anything spectacular, but after Reebok and ESPN’s involvment, this might be another step for CrossFit’s mainstream popularity.
