First Video Dev Diary for Hearts of Iron III: Their Finest Hour

The Hit WWII strategy game Hearts of Iron is getting its third expansion, on September 26th in the form of “Their Finest Hour”. The Risk-esqe title is getting a number of new tools, units and options added to it and the developers have released a nice video diary detailing some of the changes which are coming up. You can see that at the end of this article.

I was bouncing around on Facebook today when I saw a post by my favorite classical pianist and subject of much musical lust, Valentina Lisitsa. Yes, I listen to classical music, yes I love it. Chopin’s nocturnes make my heart run through a field of daisies and if you have anything to say about it, I’ll slap you in the forehead with a tack-hammer.
Valentina mentioned that she has been hit with a copyright claim from Sony Music Entertainment regarding a recording she made, playing a piece by Mozart.

Jiro Dreams Of Sushi – An Awe Inspiring Documentary
So hungry…So very hungry…
I’ve been aware of the independent documentary “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” for quite some time now and I remember thinking upon first hearing of it “Wow…that looks pretty good”. Other things popped up and life went about its business and I forgot about the film, only thinking of it when I would go pick up sushi at one of the many Japanese restaurants nearby but I was always busy with other things.
Well, I finally saw it.

Worms…when most people think of worms they think of squiggly little dirt-eating annelids who can survive being chopped in half (and actually become 2 squiggly little dirt-eating annelids) and make for some good fishing.
If you’ve been a gamer for a while however, the word worms may just make you think of squiggly little machine gun toting annelids with bad attitudes and air strikes at their disposal.

I’m not going to go into a lot of blah blah blah here. The point of this article is that the Planetside 2 beta got a MASSIve patch today and the number of things which were addressed is fairly ridiculous.
What I will tell you is this. The framerate situation is dramatically different today than what it was yesterday. Also, it’s so pretty now I can’t even describe it here…You’re going to have to see it on our livestream.

So I was sitting here last night watching “How the Universe Works” and pondering the beginnings of the universe, stars, black holes and all of the other things that sparkle and shimmer in the sky and as the night went on I got more and more frustrated with science and scientists.
