Maddox: Our Interview With The Author Of ‘I Am Better Than Your Kids’
I wrote recently about internet star George “Maddox” Ouzounian and how he’d built a miniature empire on destroying virtually anything through elaborate rants on either his web site, The Best Page In The Universe, or through his books. He had fallen off the face of the planet until recently with the release of his new book, I Am Better Than Your Kids. I wanted to chat with the man himself about where he’s been, what he’s doing, and even what phone he’s rocking these days.

The River Review – Creepiness at Every Bend
I briefly heard about this show but wasn’t to interested in it to find out more until we talked about it on our latest podcast. None of us watched it so I figured I would give it a go. After forcing myself to start watching it after reading the comments on Hulu about how terrible it was I was prepared to hate it. The comments were wrong. Read the rest of this article…
Netflix Forced to Pull ‘The Bodyguard’ & Other Whitney Houston Films for Corporate Greed?
The internet has been abuzz with the passing of Whitney Houston. Not just the fact that she died but there have been some shady happenings with music and movies she was involved with. Songs hitting number one in the charts, CD prices going up, movies getting pulled from instant streaming. Well here’s what’s going on. Read the rest of this article…
‘Ready Player One’ Review By Ernest Cline – The Novel For MMO Fans
James Halliday is dead. The Willy Wonka-esque creator of the world’s most popular Massively Multiplayer Online game, OASIS, which serves as an escape for many of the Earth’s citizens after the collapse of civilization, has sent out a riddle regarding three keys. The one who can collect these three items will receive the reclusive Halliday’s massive $250 billion fortune and full access to the virtual kingdom he created. The first key is found by Wade, a kid connecting to OASIS out of a dreadful trailer park in Oklahoma. Little does he realize how much is life is going to change.
Ghost Rider Review: Roadkill Warmed Over
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is mostly an unholy mess of a movie that just narrowly misses falling into so-bad-it’s-good territory. Nic Cage returns as the demonic anti-hero and Johnny Whitworth plays Kurt Russell in the Neveldine/Taylor duo’s attempt to grittily reboot the Ghost Rider franchise.
Take Shelter Review: “Is Anyone Seeing This?”
Michael Shannon plays a family man plagued by apocalyptic visions in director Jeff Nichols’ latest drama. Jeff Nichols made his debut as a director with the terrific Shotgun Stories back in 2007. That film accomplished a lot with very little, providing a combination of elegant filmmaking and raw emotion that would please Kurosawa. Here, he again tackles the subject of family tragedy in Middle America and achieves results that are just as impressive.
Safe House Review: Here are the Keys. Deal With Him.
Neither bold and fresh nor offensively incompetent, Safe House serves as another example of a by-the-numbers spy thriller swimming in the wake of the colossal Bourne franchise. Director Daniel Espinosa creates a polished Bourne clone featuring solid performances from Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds, but ultimately hindered by a cliché riddled screenplay.
On The Verge – 2.10.2012
As a New York City native I get the opportunity to attend events and shows around the area. One that I try to make every month was the The Engadget Show. I was a fan of the main editors at Engadget and their personalities worked great together to provide an entertaining hour of just talking about tech and interviewing big names in the industry. When the great “Engadget Exodus” of 2011 occurred I was concerned about the future of the show but luckily, Joshua Topolsky and company decided to continue their monthly show on their new website The Verge. Yesterday they had their second episode and it was a special one at that. Jimmy Fallon was the guest and with that came comedy.
Can Jeremy Renner Carry The Bourne Legacy?
Wow, so I remembered this thing. After The Bourne Ultimatum, the incredibly successful third movie in the espionage thriller series, director Paul Greengrass and star Matt Damon left the series for greener, uh, grass (which became the cool-ly received Green Zone). But Universal was leaving money on the table by not following up, so here comes The Bourne Legacy, sans an actual Jason Bourne. Instead, Jeremy Renner (you may remember him from the recently released Mission: Impossible flick) takes up the role of a Bourne-alike who now has to do devilish things for James’ old employer. And Ed Norton’s a bad guy? That’s cool.
But what about Jenner as the new Bourne? Hrm.
