Mass Effect 2 DLC ‘Arrival’ Suppressing Fire On March 29th

The countdown for Mass Effect 2’s last DLC is about to settle cross platform (360, PS3, PC) on March 29th. “Arrival” will toss Mr. Shepard and apparent prostitute to the far reaches of the galaxy to save an undercover brother who may have information about the Reaper invasion. The final DLC is supposed to lead up towards Mass Effect 3 and will cost you about 7 credits. But let’s be honest, this whole thing is probably just a trap to get you away from Earth before it’s attacked. Those bastards.

Gears Of War 3 Beta Starts Tomorrow For Bulletstorm Epic Owners

Editor’s note: Ok…I’m a huge fucking noob and sunk my teeth into a rumor. I followed that up with a colossal misreading of a news post and a high school girl sized dose of over-excitement and made a booboo. The beta starts on APRIL 18th and 25th.

I’d say “so sue me” but you might so…Sorry folks! I’m a douche!

Read on and insert the correct dates, in your mind.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW yeah! If you purchased the Epic version or Bulletstorm, you’ll be playing the Gears of War 3 beta in a matter of hours.

More Scrumptious Battlefield 3 Gameplay

Battlefield 3 is making me obese with hype. My gaming cholesterol is above the roof. I should blame EA. Speaking of EA, they released the second Fault Line episode of gameplay videos tagged Good Effect on Target. Pardon me as I wipe the drool away from my mouth.

Prey 2 Teaser Trailer

Gameplay? Who needs gameplay when you’ve got a Cloverfield-like live action trailer for Prey 2? There’s no information about the story other than it hints towards possibly playing as an air marshal or prisoner. We’re going to go ahead and continue to guess before making any rash decisions.

Game Review: Homefront – With Gameplay Video

Earlier this week we reported about the complaints regarding the advertising for Homefront, found on youtube. The game released today and I had a chance to sit down and play it as well as create a gameplay video, with commentary.

Roxio Wants You To Capture Video Game Footage For Only $100

Roxio Wants You To Capture Video Game Footage For Only $100

One of the most common questions I got as a gaming associate at retail was for capture cards, enabling gamers to record footage right from their consoles to upload and share with friends (or, y’know, start gaming web sites). Decent solutions usually cost in the neighborhood of $300 and a PCI-Express slot in your computer, but today Roxio unveiled the $100 Game Capture Kit that will allow you to capture footage on the cheap. There’s a catch, though…

Game Review: Torchlight (XBLA)

Game Review: Torchlight (XBLA)

I can’t really explain why, but I could just never get into dungeon crawler games. I bought the Diablo Battle Chest back in The Day for cheap and put an hour into it before the constant clicking to do anything and everything drove me mad. I wanted to love Silicon Knights’ Too Human, but its repetitive enemies and other fatal flaws made it one of the biggest disappointments I’ve ever played. Even watching footage of Torchlight wasn’t endearing, but the 30 minutes I experienced with the demo? Well, needless to say, I pulled out the card and bought 1600 points immediately. And then bought the game with those 1600 points. (Yes, it was that drawn out).

Homefront Ad Scare on YouTube

If you live in Australia then you might have seen the above ad on YouTube. It looks like it started a little panic over there with people checking news websites and social networks to see if the news was true. After finding out that it wasn’t true viewers took to the comments to express their disgust and hate. Read the rest of this article…

Square Enix Shuts Down Game Servers, Shuts Down Nerd’s Life

Square Enix Shuts Down Game Servers, Shuts Down Nerd’s Life

If you thought the huge explosion and radiation leakage from the Fukushima nuclear plant was big, clearly you didn’t see the press release from Square Enix. Starting this week, servers for FINAL FANTASY XIV, FINAL FANTASY XI, and PlayOnline will be temporarily suspended. Additional features like friend lists, community site registration, and anything to do with PlayOnline, will forfeit in order to help conserve power. You know, to save energy for water and heat. Ok, that doesn’t matter but the good news is that you won’t have to pay for the month of April.

Yeah it’s a real bummer you won’t be able to log on any time soon, but hey it could be worse. I mean, what if Blizzard was located in Japan?

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Gameplay From PAX ’11 East

Some sneaky little guy filmed a portion of the Deus Ex: Human Revolution at its PAX ’11 East showcase. The short clip specifically deals with hacking, augmentations and the menus. I wish this was as entertaining as Cloverfield. But hey, at least you won’t get motion sickness from it.
