Dust 514 – A New Trailer For The Eve Online Based FPS
FPS + MMORPG = OMNOMNOMNOM
CCP has released a brand spanking new trailer, called “Way of the Mercenary” for their upcoming Eve Online tie-in FPS, Dust 514. For those of you who haven’t heard of Dust 514 yet;
1) Where have you been? Was it a deserted island or a maximum security prison in the middle of Siberia?
2) Welcome back to the real world.
‘Primal Carnage’ Review: Hold On To Your Butts/Tails
LOL
Primal Carnage, a multiplayer game where anyone can choose to fight as a human or dinosaur, was released earlier today on Steam. You can bet your bottom dollar that when the word “dinosaur” and “video game” appear in the same sentence, I’m going to be reviewing the hell out of it.
‘Hotline Miami’ Review: Release Your Inner Psychopath [UPDATED]
I’m just gonna leave this here…
Don’t you remember being a kid in a video or book store (back when those still existed) and happening upon that eerie or disturbing sleeve, one that informed you that you’d be in trouble if your parents caught you looking at it? The one with the bloody eyeballs, the huge cleavage, or the big pink text that contains ‘sex’ in it? Hotline Miami is that, in game form, for adults.
‘Forza Horizon’ Review: A Forza Remixed Is Racing Perfected
The Lamborghini Aventador has been my faithful steed in Colorado high country. Not in real life, though: these roads would eat that machine alive.
While late to the game compared to its platform competitors, Microsoft has been making really good racing games for a long time. Early on, it was Monster Truck Madness for Windows 95, then came the Xbox with Project Gotham Racing and later Forza Motorsport. With the shuttering of Bizarre Creations, it seems that Microsoft wasn’t terribly interested in putting out racing titles that weren’t either high-end simulations like Forza or braindead Kinect stuff, but Microsoft has a powerful hand in Forza Horizon – the accumulation of all of that they have learned – and it is a masterwork.
Trains Versus Zombies 2? YEP!
Trains AND Zombies? Yes Please!
A few weeks ago, we wrote about Train Simulator 2013, the railroad simulator from railsimulator.com, which allows players to take on the role of an engineer and drive trains across many different countries and routes, checking out all of the scenery and sights along the way.
It has now been announced that railsimulator.com has released a standalone game which features their amazing train simulation, mixed with the horror of the living dead.
Are You Ready For XCOM: Enemy Unknown DLC?
Want to play a game of Lucky Hit?
This announcement came two days ago and the only explanation for why I haven’t reported on it yet is that it has boggled my mind. Downloadable content for an X-COM (or XCOM) game? Bizarre. Knocked me flat on my ass. When you have an expansion for a game like Civilization – not coincidentally, made by the same people – you get access to whole new civilizations, techs, and so on that would augment future play-throughs. If you’re half-way through Enemy Unknown right now, you might get access to this if you’ve bought it, but if you’re done with the game, do you dare dive back in?

Assassin’s Creed III Pre-Orders Break Ubisofts Record
Assassins Creed III
Today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed III is the most pre-ordered game in the company’s history. Pre-orders of Assassin’s Creed III already have more than doubled those of last year’s Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Ubisoft’s previous pre-order record holder. “Pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed III at GameStop are nearly 100% higher than last year, putting the game on track to be one of the top titles of 2012,” said Tony Bartel, president of GameStop. “In addition, Ubisoft is offering high quality DLC available at launch to bring even more excitement to this title.” Read the rest of this article…
What’s Going On With The Price Of PC Games?!
Yeah, this is a GOOD thing.
We’ve talked about it in the past, several times. The price of video games has been going up. Driven by certain money hungry publishers who tack on subscription fees and “passes” to their games, gamers are now paying more for their games than ever before.
But then, suddenly, like a beacon in the night, the price of games starts to drop?!
Well, that’s true for many PC games.
Primal Carnage Tearing Its Way On To Your PC On October 29
My, what big teeth you have!
What’s that I hear off in the distance? Is it a large garbage truck or some sort of tank rolling down the road? That deep, thunderous sound…Kinda sounds like footsteps but…NO, it can’t be. Something that heavy? It would have to be a large armored robot, wouldn’t it?
Nope, it’s a dinosaur looking for a tasty snack and he really, REALLY seems to think my face is a tasty and satisfying Ritz Crackerful. WHERE’D I PUT MY SHOTGUN?!?!
