Bioware Segregating Gay People?
The Sith can roam the galaxy, freely. Gay people can’t. Awesome job Bioware…
Yeah, it sure seems so.
In the upcoming “Rise of the Hutt Cartel” expansion, players will have the option to enter into flirtatious dialog with their same-sex companions and begin same-sex romantic relationships with them. Bravo? Not when you find out they have to go to a special planet to do it!
Why Is CES Such A Bunch Of Balls?
Meh…
The Consumer Electronics Show…It’s been around for a long time. First held in 1967, it has been the show of shows for introducing new concepts and visions in consumer electronics, since its inception.
Introducing new products like the VCR (in 1970) and the DVD (in 1996), lots of cool new stuff has come out of CES. Unfortunately, a lot of really boring stuff has come out of there, as well.
New Teaser Trailer For Cyberpunk 2077
ERMAHGERD! CYRBERPURNK!!!
So…Cyberpunk.
From back in the day when I first read the book “Neuromancer” and played the adventure game of the same title on the Amiga, I’ve been in love with the cyberpunk genre of writing. Since the time I started playing the pen and paper game of the same name as this PC title (Different year, though…the pen and paper was set in 2020) I have been fascinated with the genre as it applies to gaming.
That’s why, when I heard about Cyberpunk 2077, I ruined 3 pairs of pants.
Steam Box To Run On Linux? Fanboys Everywhere Rejoice! But Wait…
On Linux? ORLY?
Ok, so a couple of days ago, Valve allegedly revealed that the new Steam Box – the modular computer which is touted to bring Steam’s massive library of games to the average HDTV – would run on Linux.
Did that really happen?
Coming Soon! The 10 Games I Can’t Wait To Get My Hands On In 2013 And Beyond – Part 2
The other 5 titles I’d punch my own mother to get my hands on
A couple of days ago I banged out an article talking about depression and anxiety and getting all emo because the world is in a shambles and how the only cure for my fever is more video games. In that article I talked about 5 of the 10 titles which are coming out this year or in the near future that I absolutely must get my hands on and promised that I would finish up the rest of the list today so here it is.
Again, in no particular order:
Hackers And Cheaters And Glitchers, OH MY!
Not only is it wrong, it should get you kicked in the nuts, as well.
Since the dawn of PC gaming, people have worked endlessly to find new and innovative ways of cheating the system. From editing save files with hex editors to manipulating memory addresses to out-right changing the code of the software itself, people have been cheating their way to victory for decades. Since the dawn of multiplayer gaming, those same cheaters have been mucking things up for everyone. Invulnerability cheats, speed hacks, aimbots, shooting through walls, flying, teleporting, instant reloads and spell-casts, invisibility…these are just a few of the things that people have been doing to ruin the experience for everyone else.
In this article, we’re going to take a look at WHY people cheat, HOW people cheat and what the game developers are doing to try to stop people from cheating.
What’s With Everyone Buying In To The Facebook Hoaxes?
One is born every minute, right?
I’m going to come clean with you…I hardly spend any time on Facebook which means I certainly spend less time than I should, being in a position such as mine. When I am on Facebook, it is usually for one of a very few reasons. I’m either there to see what my actual friends are doing, or to see what kind of drivel my Facebook “friends” are sharing, or to laugh at the people on my friends list who buy in to the various (and numerous) hoaxes which constantly fly around the site.
This article is about that last category.
Coming Soon! The 10 Games I Can’t Wait To Get My Hands On In 2013 And Beyond – Part 1
I’m not big on patience. I am big on raiding game developers’ offices to play their new titles, though.
I’m sitting here sipping on a nice cup of joe, after a really good meal and I started thinking about all of the things that we have to look forward to in the new year. Higher taxes, Obamacare, more chances to win the lottery, FEZ expanding, war, getting to see boobies, famine, gun control…Some of these things are good and some are bad. Some…well some just depress the hell out of me. So I sat here sighing into my coffee and I thought “man, I need to get myself out of the dumps” and started looking for something to cheer me up.
Then it hit me. The thing that never fails to make me happy is simple as pie…Video games.
Mionix Naos 8200 Gaming Mouse Review
The Mionix Naos 8200 gaming mouse. How does it stack up?
A couple of weeks ago, the folks over at Mionix offered me the opportunity to get my hands on the Naos 8200 gaming mouse, the newest in their line of high end gaming mice. Of course I jumped at the opportunity to see if anything out there could give my Razer Mamba a run for its money, without costing hundreds of dollars. A couple of days later the FedEx guy dropped the mouse off and I dove in to the box like a kid at Christmas.
