What The Hell Has Happened To Music?!
STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP!!!!
A couple of days ago, I went off on a bit of a rip about all the Christmas music which is being on the radio played these days. Apparently someone important read that article because for the past couple of days I haven’t heard much Christmas music at all…Unfortunately, I’m now reminded of the utter shit they’re pouring out over the air waves and now I’m not sure I want the Christmas music to go away at all.
Dragon’s Prophet Beta Signups Still Going. No Word Yet On Beta Start Date
That’s a house…That a player can build and decorate…MMORGASM!
Dragon’s Prophet, which was announced at SOE Live in October has been opened for beta signups for a little over a week now and we have to assume that they’re getting a lot of interest in the game based on the reactions from SOE Live and various articles and discussions around the web.
So what’s the deal with this game, anyway?
Christmas Music – O’ Holy CRAP!
In the meadow, we can build a snow man…Then pretend that he is SHUT THE HELL UP!
Yes, folks, it’s that time of year again. The time when the leftover turkey is dwindling down to nothing, the kiddies are thinking of little else but the time they will be allowed to open all the presents which will be under the tree and, in many parts of the world, the snow is falling and covering everything in a gorgeous white blanket.
And, of course, the radio waves are filled to the brim with Christmas music…
(Un?)Intentionally Violent Games
Probably the most violent game I’ve ever played
So there I was, playing Jetpack Joyride, by Halfbrick Studios (the same company which created Fruit Ninja), which a friend of mine recommended to me. As I was floating along on my jetpack, picking up coins, dodging laser walls and ducking missiles, I looked down and notice the bodies strewn along the floor.
At that moment, it hit me. This game is REALLY violent! But was it intentional, or not?
Why Do Software Manufacturers Keep Changing My Stuff?!
I’m mad as hell, and I’m not gonna take it anymore!
So, I’ve been seeing a trend lately. A trend toward software developers messing with my stuff. Why do they think they have to do that? Don’t they realize they’re going to make my head explode?
Arrow – Do We Really Need Another Superhero Show?
Like Robin Hood…only not…at all…
So, one of my buddies turned me on to this show called “Arrow”. He spewed on for ages about how it was really awesome and told me all about all the ass-kickery and cute chicks and kung-fu and gun fights and explosions…How could I possibly turn that down, right? I mean, the 4 things which make up a perfect show or film are right there…Explosions, gun fights, kung-fu and boobies! Right?
I mean, how could it POSSIBLY suck, with all that going for it?
PlanetSide 2 – The Definitive Review – With Gameplay Video
What did we think about SOE’s new MMOFPS? We’ll tell ya!
Planetside 2 is one of the most hotly anticipated FPS titles of the year. At E3 2012, we gave it awards for “Best Shooter” and “Best MMO”, beating out titles like Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2, Defiance, Rift, and others. We played it at E3, I played it all throughout beta, and now I’m playing it and reviewing it post-launch to let all of you know what I think of it.
So how does this one stack up?
Red Dawn, The Review – Reboot Or Regurgitation?
I think they should have called themselves “The Honey Badgers”. If you get that joke, you’re a nerd.
I’m not going to lie. I enjoyed the hell out of the original Red Dawn, back in 1984. The cast was good, the story was one that hit home with everyone at that time (The Soviet Union invading? Yeah, it was possible back then.) and the flow of the movie was good…not too much action, not too much drama, and pretty much no fluff.
That’s how I like my movies…fluff free. So how did the reboot of the film stack up?
Black Friday Gaming Deals That Won’t Leave You Broke
Not on your life, buddy.
Black Friday is a day of the year you either love or hate. The official start of the Christmas shopping season, it is named “Black Friday” because it is the day of the year in which many retailers finally go from unprofitable to profitable…from the “red” to the “black”. It is also, for many, the most accursed day of the year, marked by tons of junk mail and the shift from hearing good music in the stores to hearing nothing but Jingle Bells over and over for a month while people scramble to get all of their shopping in before Christmas day…
