‘iSteve’ Review: Don’t Watch This. Just Don’t.
Sure, he doesn’t look, sound, or act like Jobs, but… no, there is no but. It’s just bad.
I wanted to stop watching. This “hilarious” “biopic” of Steve Jobs by the “genius” “writers” at Funny or Die just kept going. It’s even eighty minutes long. It’s super stupid long. But what part got me going the most? What part made me groan the most? Maybe it was- well, let me back up. iSteve is not, by any means, a retelling of history. There are familiar names in familiar situations, but this “movie” is really little more than a series of poor sketches stapled end to end. It makes that Ashton Kutcher Jobs flick look like Oscar material.
‘Man Of Steel’ Trailer Is Magical, Almost Makes Me Forget How Lame Superman Is
Quicker than the ray of light, he’s flying…
Because everyone asked, everyone, including you and your grandparents, I’m giving a quick note to the new Man of Steel trailer that launched today. Gee, no one was bawling about the Star Trek one this morning, a sign of things to come?
‘Strip Search’ Recap: Season 1, Episode 14 “Game On”
Amy’s playing Miss Reality Show in this episode.
After last week’s big WTF?! moment, watching the contestants react to Lexxy strut back to the house was truly something else. Interestingly enough, we see the first real attempt by the series to show off any drama when the stakes have been pretty low so far.
New ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Trailer Reveals Somber Kirk, Super Enterprise
What a big, uh, ship you have.
Guys, we’re getting really close to the release of that Star Trek movie, so it makes sense that the release content is hitting a fevered pitch. Building on the last trailer, we’re really starting to see the story come together, piece by piece, before our eyes and that makes me so much happier than the debut tease.
’42’ Review: A Jackie Robinson Movie That’s Not About Jackie Robinson
The Jackie Robinson Story…starring Harrison Ford.
Writer/director Brian Helgeland’s 42 purports to be a biopic on the life and career of Jackie Robinson, the major league baseball Hall of Fame-r who shattered the color barrier in sports by becoming the first African American to play baseball on the professional level. The film is a well-intentioned picture that unfortunately stands as another example of what happens when a white guy attempts to tell African American history: Instead of focusing on Jackie Robinson, the story mostly centers on Branch Rickey, the executive responsible for signing Robinson with the Brooklyn Dodgers.
‘The Newsroom’s Second Season Debuts On July 14th, Stars Allison Pill
That’s Allison Pill on the far right, flanking her co-stars.
Oh good, that news show that stars Allison Pill is coming back to HBO super soon! If you haven’t read my review of the show’s first season, Allison Pill plays a plucky associate producer named Maggie Jordan who still has a lot to learn about news show production!
Bizarre: General Electric Revives Agent Smith To Sell Hospital Equipment
Hello there, Mister Doctor Maaaaaaaaaaaan.
You haven’t seen strategized marketecture quite like this. To sell you on their valuable position in, I don’t know, keeping people alive in hospitals, General Electric has employed Hugo Weaving, with the blessing of the Wachowskis and Warner Brothers, as Agent Smith. An evil dude.
‘Strip Search’ Recap: Season 1, Episode 13 “Elimination #4”
Another stalemate deliberation!
What. The. Fuck?
‘The Simpsons’ Uses Couch Gag To Parody ‘Breaking Bad’, Wins Heisenberg’s Approval
99% Pure Cupcakes.
The episode doesn’t even air until Sunday, but this latest from The Simpsons may be the coolest one in years. It’s cool that the show’s runners are hip with the coolest stuff though as Breaking Bad finishes its run this summer.
See This: Get Your Badge On With Egoraptor’s New “PokeAwesome 2”
Deranged? Oh yeah.
A year in the making, as he says, Egoraptor brings us PokeAwesome 2, the long-awaited (I don’t recall getting a newsletter about it) sequel to PokeAwesome. The guy’s amazing and his incredible animation and delightfully perverted story will have you playing this short flick over and over.
