New ‘The Hangover Part III’ Trailer Reveals Movie Potentially Tolerable Entertainment

You mean it’s not another retread of an already old plot device? Wow!

Because it’s a movie that’s coming out soon, Warner Bros. is cycling out all kinds of promotional material for The Hangover Part III, including a new trailer a mere month after the big unveil. They didn’t sell me then, they might sell me now.

AMC To Give Free Popcorn This Weekend In Celebration Of Tax Day

FREE POPCORN KERNELS

Did you know that taxes are due Monday? I didn’t, but thanks to AMC, I do now. Unfortunately. AMC, a chain of movie theaters, announced that in celebration of ending the tax season, small popcorns (yes, you can use this as a plural! Why don’t you stop me!) will be on the house this weekend!

‘Hardcore Pawn’ Hits 100th Episode, 4 Million Viewers And Is Still Absolutely Stupid

Oh my goooooooooooood…

People are so stupid. I’m serious. Collectively, and I’m generalizing here, we complain about the sheer amount of garbage on television, but then we tune into programs like Maury, Storage WarsDuck Dynasty (yeah, I went there!) and Hardcore Pawn because they’re “our guilty pleasure”. Ladies and gentlemen, your guilty pleasures are destroying America.

New ‘Elysium’ HD (1080p) Trailer With Damon, Foster Is Science-Fiction “For The 99%”

“I’m sorry, that big metal piping is going where?”

Class warfare is taken to an extreme in Neil Blomkamp’s follow up to 2009’s District 9. Dealing once more with oppression by those who have and those don’t, the world’s finest and most -privileged citizens take residence in a massive Stanford torus well above the Earth. Down on Earth? Oh, it’s bad news.

Bob Odenkirk To Helm ‘Breaking Bad’ Spinoff? Better Call Saul!

Bob Odenkirk To Helm ‘Breaking Bad’ Spinoff? Better Call Saul!

It would be criminal not to.

Dear AMC,

I worked real hard earlier this year to watch the entirety of Breaking Bad, which is a really good show. In fact, the final eight episodes are my most-anticipated portions of TV this year. It makes sense that after all that money was made and all those hearts set aflutter that you’d want Walter White’s lawyer pal to star in his own spinoff series. You should make this happen with all of your powers.

‘Strip Search’ Recap: Season 1, Episode 12 “Ignite Your Spark”

Magic: The Gathering in the house!

This week’s challenge produced some excellent artwork. As Penny Arcade have shown over the years, their work has often weaved with freelance projects for game publishers with their Penny Arcade Presents work. Here, our artists must produce a skate deck design for Magic: The Gathering summer’s promotional character, the firey minx Chandra.

New Epic Rap Battles In History Pits Skrillex Against Mozart

Well, there it is.

The Epic Rap Battles in History series has always been pretty clever and this one doesn’t break the trend. Maker Studios puts these together with – and I didn’t know this – a team of more than a dozen people, which explains why they usually take so long to produce. It’s through some corporate fenagling that Snoop Lion (I giggle every single time) played Moses in an earlier episode this season.

‘Evil Dead’ Remake Review: Almost Too Evil

I’m not going in that cellar.

Writer/director Fede Alvarez’s remake of Evil Dead stands as an example of what a remake should be. The filmmakers—not content with simply creating a shot-for-shot rehash of the original—took elements of the cult classic and blended them into something new. The result is somewhat mixed, but still praiseworthy.

‘Strip Search’ Recap: Season 1, Episode 11 “Street Art”

Painting a pineapple Maki is more clever than you think.

We’re now into day four of the Strip Search competition and this graffiti art challenge is pretty clever. Everything I know about spraypaint art can be traced back to Jet Set Radio Future, which features a number of pieces based on bizarre and wonderful typography, something that the artists didn’t chase here. That’s fine because despite these guys being new to the process, their pieces still came out pretty well.

‘2 Guns’ Trailer Appears From Nowhere; Marky Mark And Denzel Star As Undercover Bank Robbers

Starring 2 Chainz! …I’m kidding.

I didn’t even know this movie existed, but after a glimpse of the trailer, I’m on-board. Wahlberg and Washington star as undercover bank robbers that don’t realize they’re undercover until after a successful operation. When things go south trying to dismantle a Mexican drug cartel, they’re disavowed by the government and on their own, because that’s how things ought to be, right?
